House Rules

Il Riparo is an independent house set in a quiet, rural environment. We simply ask you to treat it with the same care and attention you would give to your own home.

For safety reasons, the grill located on the terrace may not be used by guests.

Additional guests who are not included in the reservation are not permitted without prior authorization from the Host.

Parties and events are not allowed unless previously authorized in writing by the Host. Any requests must be agreed upon in advance, and authorization cannot be considered included in the reservation unless expressly confirmed.

Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Smoking is permitted in the outdoor areas, provided that cigarette butts or other waste are not left behind.

We kindly ask you to respect the peace and quiet of the area, especially during the evening and night.

Pets are welcome. Their owners are responsible for any damage caused by their animals and for the proper removal of pet waste from both indoor and outdoor areas.

Some books in the library are available for guests, while others are collector’s items. Please ask the Host before using any books that have not been expressly made available.

Check-in: from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, unless otherwise agreed.

Check-out: from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed.

Property

Any damage, malfunction or problem should be reported as soon as possible: a small issue can often be easily resolved if it is reported promptly.

For safety reasons, access to the mezzanine areas is not permitted. The ladders located in the bedrooms are reserved exclusively for the Host and are used only for cleaning and maintenance purposes.

The basement, garage and vegetable garden are private areas, not included among the spaces available to guests, and therefore may not be accessed during the stay.

The Venetian blinds, automated systems and other devices in the house must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If in doubt, please contact the Host and do not force any mechanisms.

Home automation and automated systems

The Venetian blinds integrated between the glass panes are operated using the remote controls. The illuminated indicators correspond to the following blinds:

• Bedroom with the chest: indicators 1 and 3
• Bedroom with the library: indicators 4 and 5
• Living room: indicators 6 and 7
• Kitchen: indicators 8 and 9
• Hallway opposite the first-floor bathroom: indicator 2

The staircase lighting can be switched on and off using the wall switches. In any case, it switches off automatically after a few minutes.

Waste sorting and disposal

Guests are kindly asked to follow the waste sorting rules. Dedicated bins are provided in the kitchen for glass, plastic and metals, paper, organic waste and general waste.

When it is necessary to empty the paper, glass, plastic and metal containers, the municipal recycling bins are located in the village car park, which can be reached via the following Google Maps link:

Organic waste and general waste are disposed of by the Host according to the local collection schedule. When you have bags to dispose of, you may leave them securely closed in front of the EV charging station located in the property’s parking area, after informing the Host, who will remove them.

External video surveillance

For property security reasons, several video surveillance cameras are installed outside Il Riparo. There are no cameras inside the house.

The external cameras are deactivated during guests’ stays and reactivated after check-out. Any recordings made while the system is active are retained for a maximum of 24 hours and are then automatically deleted, unless they need to be kept for longer in connection with specific events or at the request of the competent authorities.

Access to the recordings is reserved exclusively for the Host, acting as the data controller for the processing of the images. The recordings are not disclosed or used for purposes other than the security of the property and people, except where necessary to report incidents to the competent authorities.

The system is managed with respect for guests’ privacy and in a way designed to minimize the processing of personal images.
